How Good Is 3DMakerpros MOOSE? (vs Creality RAPTOR)

The MOOSE scanner uses blue LED flashes (not laser!) for scanning, featuring AI-powered tracking and alignment. It doesn't require tracking markers—although scanning spray is still necessary for transparent or reflective surfaces. Get your ๐ŸซŽ Moose here (EU, Affiliate)  or international store Discount Code: ⭐RCS30 for 30€ off!

๐Ÿ”น Positioning: Ideal as a quick tool for referencing objects in 3D design. It delivers better detail and accuracy than budget NIR-based scanners but falls short of premium laser scanners like the Creality Raptor.

๐Ÿ”น Creality Raptor Comparison:
- Costs around €1100 (sale) up to €1800 retail
- Offers higher accuracy with laser tech
- Requires tracking points and a powerful GPU
- Best suited for scanning small objects

๐Ÿ–ฅ️ Performance Notes:
- Works best on high-end PCs (e.g., Core i9 285K + RTX 4070Ti)
- Acceptable results even on older laptops
- First test (DolphinPro gimbal canopy) was smooth, though software sometimes stutters and loses AI tracking

๐ŸŽจ Texture Mode:
- To avoid long processing times, reduce mesh complexity below 100K faces
- Excellent image quality for texture mapping

๐Ÿ“ฆ What’s in the Box (luxury bundle, choose basic bundle to save money as the tripod isn't that great, the turntable not important and you can order a cheap case if you need one)
- Nice carrying case
- Power supply & long USB cable
- USB-powered turntable (no power switch)
- Mini tripod (not super stable)

Anycubic S1 Combo Review: Printer Shines, ACE Pro Disappoints (Real-World Testing!)

Get the Anycubic S1 Combo with CODE: ANYKS1 549€ for printer and Filament Box
or my suggestion - the PRINTER ONLY with CODE: AKOBRAS1 369€ !!!
My Philosophy: Honest, "almost scientific" testing, I test products rigorously and share honest opinions—even if it costs me affiliate earnings (like in this case for sure :). Using my affiliate links supports my work at no extra cost to you! Huge thanks!๐Ÿ™

๐ŸŒ▬▬▬▬INFO▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬๐ŸŒ
Kobra S1 Size: 400x410x490 mm
ACE Pro Size:   366x283x235 mm
min 80-90 cm height if AMS on top!
25x25x25cm buildroom!
120° heatbed (although not uniformly heated up - and better add 10°)
320° nozzle max temp
speed a bit lower than bambu, color changes 2:47 - slow, not very efficient
Printquality is quite good!

๐Ÿ’กinstall "Rinkhals" (modded firmware addon)
why? to get a good WebUI (Mainsail)  http://your-printer-ip:4409
and also full Orca-Slicer (with upload and print), minus the multimaterial handling
Good thing: Anycubic Slicer / phone app still works - so you can use both.
I left the printer in Cloud mode (so phone app works outside of my LAN), got a minor warning on rinkhals that I will not see printer listed...

RINKHALS howto:
- download update....swu file, https://github.com/jbatonnet/Rinkhals
- rename it to update.swu and copy it on the USB Stick (fat32), in SPECIFIC dir: "aGVscF9zb3Nf"
- plug in the USB stick and wait for the install bar (20sec)
Note: if you get a new firmware update on the KobraS1 (official from Anycubic), you just need to download the rinkhals file again (make sure new firmware is already supported).

Anycubic Slicer next  (S1 support), better to use 2.4GHz wifi?
Orca:  use Octo/klipper:  and your-IP:4409  in LAN settings

Creality K1 MAX - ULTIMATE test, rooting, manual levelling, Mods...

►or at Geekbuying  (use CODE ⭐NNNDEK1M⭐  for 665€!!!
►and TomTop
I deliver honest opinions, well researched and tested (sometimes "almost scientific" ;) reviews! If you can support this idea please check my PATREON ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿ“‹ Infos (covered in this test):
Many components shared with k1
+ LARGER buildplate!
+ Lidar
+ spare hotend and nozzle
+ Glass top lid
+ filament sensor inside

๐ŸณOrca Wifi print only with rooted Klipper
- but device tab can show crealitys gui
- upload and print over that if one doesn't wanna root and update!
Tip: You have to HOME all axis before you can start printing this way
Error msg:  "please return to the printer..."
really means "home the printer axis"

- came with pretty old firmware (1.3.0.39 from July/2023) and said this is the most current?
- used USB Stick and downloaded firmware 1.3.3.8 (March/24) from here
- enabled root access in settings (on printer LCD)
- only after you update to the most current firmware, you can have root access:    user: root      pwd: creality_2023

๐Ÿ’ก ROOTING guide here
or in short (once connected via SSH to your printer, run these 2 commands):
1. Download the HELPER script:
git clone https://github.com/Guilouz/Creality-Helper-Script.git /usr/data/helper-script
2. RUN the script:
sh /usr/data/helper-script/helper.sh
(and here just install the essentials + maybe OctoEverywhere)

some more tips ๐Ÿ’ก:
✅ df -h   to check used diskspace...
✅ go thru this for correct date/time
✅ download Timelapses via the net:
(use WinSCP proggy and user: root / pwd: creality_2023 to logon)
copy files from here:    /usr/data/creality/userdata/delay_image/video
✅Make sure your K1max Bed is LEVEL!
heat up the bed to your normal print temp
let it measure the auto bed mesh  (lcd, or gui)
not the difference and try to counteract them with those "washers"

Creality Scan Ferret Pro 3d Scanner - indepth review and Scanning tips!

What's in the box? 3D Scanner module (4 cams, was macht was?) hotshoe / tripod screw mountable mini tripod + (battery) grip (5ah 3,7v) phone clamp mount Wifi6 bridge ...and lots of cables (good quality with screws to prevent disconnect) Software avail as download for Windows/Mac, Android or IOS The cam-preview(s) via USB3 cable on the PC are much smoother and easier to work with - than on the phone via wifi (at least on my older Galaxy S10) Tip: use the scroll wheel of your mouse to zoom in the live view during scanning! - WIFI box fรผr LAPTOP: works, but a but slower - wireless - larger scans... - cam preview speed slower (fewer FPS) than with USB3 of course SCANNING TIPS: -use a round-table ("lazy susan"), but no need for a motorized one... -start scanning looking at the obj from top down (30°?), make a few rounds than change cam angle slowly to view from the round table floor height slightly upwards - always keep an eye on the preview, it should be gree - if RED - stop and go back a bit - for complex parts, consider doing 2 scans and use the merge function to combine them! - use enough light (or it will loose tracking) maybe adjust the IR light exposure manually for better results - be slow and steady on your scans (or it will loose tracking) - use the "close Object" option!!! Makes it possible to print it! - use cut tool in slicer (Orca) to remove unwanted groundplate... ●▬▬▬LINKS▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬● Buy the Scanner here: https://www.geekbuying.com/go/8JsMWFEv (Afilliate) Coupon code: NNNDECRPRO (349€!) (0.4mm and 0.6mm included - spares cost 35€) + Printhead magnetic snapon (no screws) + camera included (easy access in WIFI over browser) ✅ CONs: - only 220x220x220 build volume (which is ok for most prints, but still limiting) - software: Orca wifi "upload+print" not (yet) available, only via USB Stick (you have to use their Flashprint for Wifi printing) - filament change wastes material because there's no retraction - no access to the webGUI - closed Klipper installation - not possible to turn on remotely…. (With wifi socket you can only turn it on in the standby mode, still needs a button press on the front) ๐Ÿ’กPower consumption: 5w on standby, 13w when display is active +2w for LED light ๐Ÿ’ก Tip on Port :8080 you can already access the Webcam (locally in your Lan/wifi): VIDEOSTREAM: http://192.168.YOURIP:8080/stream_simple.html Snapshot: http://192.168.YOURIP:8080/static_simple.html Cam settings: http://192.168.YOURIP:8080/control.htm ●▬▬▬LINKS▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬● I guarantee HONEST ❤️ reviews and opinions! _______________________________________________________________ ๐Ÿ’กcheck the inputshaper Fix: At least in previous firmwares their code for the input shaper tuning was not correct: it tested both axis - but only used one value on both ;) (but dont use mine - they will be different on each printer!)
